SCOLYER, Albert Victor (left)
Service no 4077 Private 15th Battalion transferred to 42nd Battalion
Albert came from Wynyard in Tasmania and was born at Bishopsbourne, Tasmania in 1884. He enlisted on the 31st August 1915 at Claremont, Tasmania and embarked with his Unit from Melbourne on 24 November on board HMAT Orontes. Albert received gunshot wounds to the head and hand on 7 August 1916 at Albert, France and after recuperating in hospital in England he was returned to Australia on 9 June 1917 per Barambah and was finally discharged as medically unfit. He passed away in Tasmania on 31 August 1954.
SCOLYER, Frank Harold (right)

Frank came from Wynyard in Tasmania and was born at Bishopsbourne, Tasmania in 1884. He enlisted 31 August 1915 at Claremont, Tasmania having previously spent 5 years in the Australian Forces. He embarked with his brother Albert from Melbourne on 24 November on board HMAT Orontes. Frank died of wounds received at Rouen, France on 25 September 1918. He is buried at St. Sever Cemetery Extension (Block R, Plot III, Row D, Grave No. 14), Rouen, France
Albert and Frank were twins.

SCOLYER, Richard

Richard like his brothers came from Wynyard Tasmania and was born at Bishopsboune, Tasmania in 1893, he was the youngest of the three brothers. He enlisted on the 20th January 1915 at Claremont, Tasmania and embarked with his Unit from Brisbane, Queensland, on board HMAT A60 Aeneas on 29 June 1915. Richard was killed in action on 15 August 1916 ant Albert, France. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
All three brothers listed their sister Mrs E. Marshall of Calder Road Wynard Tasmania as their next of kin.
