HOLT. - In memory of our dearly beloved son Lance-Corporal G. C. Holt, who died of wounds, October 27, 1917. Duty called him, he was there to do his bit and take his share; His heart was good, his spirit brave, His resting place a soldier's grave. Dearly loved, sadly missed.
Inserted by his loving father and mother, James and Emily Holt, Badger Corner, Flinders Island.
HOLT. - In loving memory of Lance-Corporal G. C. Holt, who was killed in action somewhere in Belgium on the 27th October, 1917 youngest son of James and Emily Holt, Flinders lsland. Only a grave of a hero, only a mound of earth, Far from the land of the island, the place that gave him birth. Somewhere in Belgium he is lying, He answered his country's call; He died an Australian hero, Fighting to save us all.
Inserted by his loving brother, John Holt.
HOLT. - In loving memory of my dear nephew and our cousin, Lance Corporal G. C. Holt, who died in Belgium on the 27th October, 1917, youngest son of James and Emily Holt, Flinders Island.
Calm and peaceful he is sleeping. Laid by others, comrades true; When the roll is called in heaven Poor George will answer too.
-inserted by his loving aunt Mary,
